Ports International was started in Toronto by Luke Tanabe in 1961 as Newport Canada, an import business for clothing from Japan. The company evolved into a women's fashion business and was named Ports International in 1966. They opened flagship stores in Manhattan in 1970 and London in 1978. The company still exists today as Ports 1961.

Sizing: Size 12 is indicated, which is a large size, but please rely on the following measurements for fit:
Shoulders: 15" across shoulder seam-to-seam
Sleeves: 24" long from shoulder seam
Sleeve Inseam: 18"
Bust: 32" around, unstretched, stretches out to 38"
Waist: 28" uncinched by the belt
Hips: 37", but meant to fall a little loosely
Overall length: 41"
Condition:
It is in very good condition with the exception of a pinhead hole at the right back shoulder (see last close-up photo) - just needs 2 stitches and you'd never know. Otherwise, the dress is very clean and looks like it saw little use, no wear, tear, piling, stains or odors.
This is a very nice quality sweater dress.....great color, nice form and detailing - Hong Kong produced excellent quality garments during the 60s and early 70s
