This is a wonderful vintage 1970s blue tuxedo, dated Oct 76 on the tailor’s label.  The jacket to this 1970s blue tuxedo is made in a blended wool fabric with padded shoulders, wide blue satin notched lapels, cloth collar, flapped side pockets, chest pocket, single button closure and with three buttons at either cuff.  It is lined in blue acetate.  There is a satin stripe down either leg of the pants.  The pants have a flat panel front, satin waistband, nylon zipper fly, and a pocket built into either side.  The leg flares at the cuff.

Jacket label: Charles Clothes Montreal.  I’ve had other menswear by Charles Clothes in the past and the various items (suits / jackets) have all been of superior quality

Fabric:  Feels like a wool blend.  The fabric has a pebbled finish to it.

Sizing: Being custom tailored, there is no size tag, and although this 1970s blue tuxedoshould fit a medium size to large size long/tall (US size 40/42), please rely on the following measurements for fit:

Jacket:

Shoulders: 19” across shoulder seam-to-seam 

Sleeves: 26” from shoulder seamSleeve Inseam: 17 1/2”

Chest: 45” around 

Waist: 42”

Overall length: 32 1/4“

Pants:

Waist: 36”

Leg Inseam: 32” long - there is 3 1/2” of fabric inside the hem

Overall length: 44“

Cuff circumference:  21 1/2”

Condition: This 1970s blue tuxedo is in very good condition with no pronounced wear, tear, stains or odours except for discolouration to the jacket lining, in particular around the armpits (see last close-up photo). Otherwise, this 1970s blue tuxedo present itself very well.
