Vintage Dominique Aurientis Necklace 3 Strand Brassed Chain

This is a wonderful 3 strand necklace made by Dominique Aurientis. The necklace is made up of kidney shaped links, each strand made of two rows of links. This Dominique Aurientis necklace is constructed so as to sit and hang well (see photos). Please note that although it appears to hang low on my form, this would fit closer to the neck, not a choker, but not low hanging - please note the measurements given below.
Maker’s Mark: Dominique Aurientis Paris. Dominique Aurientis began her career at Christian Dior while studying at the Sorbonne. She went on to design jewelry for the fashion houses of Chanel, Givenchy, Ferragamo, Lanvin, Celine and Emilio Pucci. In 1986, she started her own line of jewelry, which was sold through high-end department stores and boutiques.
Age: most likely 1980s, possibly early 90s
Material: Brass finish, but very heavy, so I’m wondering if this might be brass finished bronze as I can see touches of red undertone (see close-up photo of maker’s mark) and the necklace is quite heavy, weighing 240 grams or 8.5 oz, over half a pound. In any case, Dominique Aurientis only used the best materials - this is a quality metal.
Sizing: The necklace measures 17 1/2” along the top strand and 21 1/2” following the contour of the bottom strand.
Condition: It is in very good condition with no pronounced wear - this necklace looks like it was very well cared for over the years.
This is a wonderful quality necklace by Dominique Aurientis - classy design!
