Vintage 1950s Suit Jacket Saltaire Wool Fabric Made in England Ladies Size Small

This is a vintage suit jacket dating to the early 1950s, made in England. The label states “A Saltaire Fabric” - Saltaire fabric was made at the Salts Mill located in Saltaire, England. The Salts Mill produced high end fabrics, mostly wool, but also produced some cotton and corduroy. This jacket has padded shoulders, a shawl collar, four button closure, long sleeves with turned cuffs, and a faux flapped pocket at either side front. The collar, open edge and pockets are trimmed in brown satin. The jacket is in a rose taupe colour and is lined in a gold brown satin. It is cut with an accented waist. There is no matching skirt, but this could be worn with a number of sold coloured skirts in matching or complimentary tones.

Condition: It is in excellent condition with no wear, tear, stains, odours or other defect. It looks like it saw little, if any, use and was well stored over the years.
This is a nice quality early 50s period suit jacket in a lovely colour with attractive English styling and detailing!
