This is a 1940s mens tie, maybe early 1950s, featuring a wonderful mid century modernistic print in colours blue, yellow and dropped out white against a copper brown background, kind of like a reddish brown.  It is made of a satin fabric, either rayon or acetate, with a debossed matte leaf pattern in it.  There is no label, but the back is marked in dropped out white “The West Pointer”.  This 1940s mens tie is in very good condition - no noted staining, soiling or wear, this has been very well preserved over the last 70+ years.  The tie measures 49 1/2” in length and has a width of 4 1/4” at its widest.  This is a striking 1940s mens tie with an interesting mid century modernist print - wonderful period necktie!
