Vintage 1980s Michael Jackson Thriller Style Jacket J Park Leather

This is a vintage 1980s red leather Michael Jackson Thriller style jacket.  J Park of Beverly Hills were the original manufacturers of the jacket used by Michael Jackson in the “Beat It” video and although the costume company of Berman’s and Nathan’s made the original jacket used in the Thriller video, J Park made the original copies of the Michael Jackson Thriller jacket that were marketed to the public.  The jacket looks identical to the one that Jackson wore, made of red leather with black leather trim with all of the original detailing.  This Michael Jackson Thriller jacket has snap closures, a standing collar, side pockets, cinch belts at the bottom and at the cuffs and is lined in a blend of red nylon and acetate.

Sizing:  38 is indicated on the neck loop, but I think that this Michael Jackson Thriller jacket should fit an extra small size, maybe small - please note the following measurements, taking the style of the jacket into account (maybe measure a jacket that you own for comparison):

Shoulders: 17” across seam-to-seam

Sleeves: 25” from the shoulder seam

Sleeve Inseam: 19 1/2” long

Bust: 38” around, taken under the arms - 19” across pit-to-pit

Waist: 36” around, uncinched

Overall length: 23”, taken at the back from the neck seam

Condition:  This Michael Jackson Thriller jacket is n very good condition - a small paint wear spot to one snap (see close-up photo) and the neck loop is detached on one side, but otherwise, very clean with no noted wear.  There is an old dry cleaning ticket affixed to the interior of one of the side pockets. 

This is an iconic Michael Jackson Thriller jacket, as close to the original that you can possibly get - great for a re-creation!
