This is a wonderful unused Sal Cesarani reversible jacket designed in a windbreaker style.  Salvatore Cesarani is a noted American fashion designer who established his New York based fashion label in 1976.  Cesarini was a recipient of a number of Coty Menswear Awards.  This Sal Cesarani reversible jacket is made with a brown herringbone tweed wool on one side and with a polished or treated cotton on the other side.  Both sides are constructed similarly with a straight collar, a zippered chest pocket and a box pleated button-down flapped pocket at either front side.  There is button-down neck bridge that is also reversible.  The bottom in finished in ribbed elasticized fabric.  This Sal Cesarani reversible jacket is cut to fit loosely and closes down the centre front with a metal zipper.

Label: The labels of this Sal Cesarani reversible jacket are in the interior of the side pockets on the wool side - one reads simply “Cesarani” and the other states the fabric content and that the jacket was Tailored in British Hong Kong.

Hang tags:  Cesarani hang tag dated 1980.  Retailer hang tag (Sauvé Frères) - note that the original price of this Sal Cesarani reversible jacket was $250, a lot of money in 1980.

Sizing: Size M is indicated, and although this should fit a medium size, please rely on the following measurements for fit, noting the style of the jacket:

Shoulders: 19” across shoulder/sleeve seams

Sleeves: 25” from the shoulder seam

Sleeve inseam: 20 1/4”

Chest:  44” around, taken under the arms

Bottom:  32” around with the ribbing unstretched - stretches out to 40”

Overall length:  25 1/2”, measured flat at the back from the neck seam

Condition:  This Sal Cesarani reversible jacket is in excellent condition with no stains, odour, tear or wear - I did notice, however, that the left shoulder/sleeve seam on the wool side could use a couple of stitches.

This is a nice quality Sal Cesarani reversible jacket - natural fibres!
