Vintage 1970s Mens Orange Leisure Suit Pariani Size 44 Regular
Brand Poppy's Vintage Clothing
This is a wonderful example of a 1970s era leisure suit. The leisure suit as we know it was “invented” by Jerry Rosengarten in 1970 and hit its height of popularity in 1975. This suit has a label that reads “Pariani Romania”. The suit is made in a muted orange colour, striking, but not overwhelming. The jacket is made with typical leisure detailing, which took inspiration from the safari suit - pointy collar with small notched lapel, four flapped box pleated pockets on the front, unlined with a four button closure. The pants are made with a flat front and a bell bottom leg.
Age: about 1972
Material: 100% Modal Made in Romania. Modal is a semi-synthetic made from beechwood tree cellulose, similar to rayon, but with a feel closer to cotton
