This is a vintage 1970s ladies coat made in Canada fly Sterling Stall of Winnipeg.  This 1970s ladies coat is made with a high neckline, relaxed shoulders (slightly dropped), full cut cuffed sleeves with box pleats, a four button front and with a slash pocket built into either side.  The coat is simply styled and comes with a sash that has two fox fur “tails” at either end - the sash can be posed in a number of ways (see photos).  It is fully lined in satin acetate that is interlined.

Colour:  Red in a slightly pinkish tone

Fabric label:  80% wool 20% nylon 15% cashmere / Lining 100% acetate / Interlining unknown fibres.

Union stamp:  The content label on this coat is printed with the Canadian ILGWU label used between 1968 and 1984

Sizing: There is no size label and although this 1970s ladies coat should fit a medium size, please note the following measurements for fit:

Shoulders:  18 1/2” across between shoulder/sleeve seams

Sleeves:  22” long from the shoulder seam

Sleeve Inseam:  16 1/2”

Bust: 42” around, taken under the arms

Waist: 42” around

Hips:  48”

Overall length: 37 1/2”, taken at the back from the neck seam

Condition:  This 1970s ladies coat is in very good condition with no pronounced wear, tear or stains.
