This is a vintage faux fur long vest made in an ocelot pattern by Sirbain of MontrealCanada.  Sirbain was founded in 1948 by a French emigré to Canada, Jeanne Sirbain who had previously worked for Chanel.  She was one of the first to feature faux fur as an alternative to real fur.  This vintage faux fur long vest is made with three buttons at either side, but no closure - this is meant to simply be worn open.  There is a pocket built into either side.  The coat is lined in a copper coloured satin.

Label:  Sirbain Montreal Nettoyer Selon Procédé Fourrure Seulement (Clean by Fur Method Only)

Material: probably a mix of acrylic and modacrylic. Lining is most likely 100% Acetate
