Antique W.H. Grindley Celtic Flow Blue Rimmed Soup Bowl 9" c.1897
This antique W.H. Grindley Celtic rimmed soup bowl showcases one of the firm's most desirable flow blue patterns. Decorated in rich cobalt blue transferware with the characteristic softly blurred flow blue effect, the design features scrolling foliate motifs, a delicate textured border, and traces of original gilt highlighting around the scalloped rim.
The elegant wide-rim form was intended for serving soup, pasta, stews, or luncheon dishes and remains highly practical today while also displaying beautifully in a collection of antique English pottery. The underside bears the W.H. Grindley globe backstamp.

Eight bowls are available in excellent antique condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, or utensil wear noted - price is per bowl. The flow blue decoration remains vivid and attractive, with only minor age-related wear to the gilt trim consistent with careful use over more than a century.
One additional bowl is available with a small chip to the underside edge. This flaw is not readily visible when displayed or in use. Pricing for the imperfect example is available upon request.
