Antique W.H. Grindley Celtic flow blue luncheon plate

Antique W.H. Grindley Celtic Flow Blue Luncheon Plate 8 7/8” c.1897

$95.00

This antique W.H. Grindley Celtic luncheon plate features one of Grindley's most admired flow blue patterns. Decorated in deep cobalt blue with the soft, blurred effect characteristic of true flow blue ware, the design combines scrolling foliate motifs, a textured border, and traces of original gilt highlighting around the scalloped rim.

The Celtic pattern was produced during the golden age of English flow blue pottery and remains highly sought after by collectors today. The 8 7/8-inch size makes these plates ideal for luncheon service, salads, desserts, or display as part of a matching Celtic table setting.

The underside bears the W.H. Grindley globe backstamp along with the U.S. patent mark dated October 19, 1897, placing production in the early twentieth century.
