This is a suit jacket made by Parisian tailor Max Evzeline.  Max Evzeline was one of five Parisian tailors known as the “Groupe des Cinq”, consisting of Evzeline, Alfred Bardot, Gaston Waltener, Joseph Camps and Austen.  They offered the highest quality tailoring - Evzeline’s label reads “Max Evzeline Haute Couture Masculine Paris”.  This jacket has a date of “9.86” on it - Evzeline began his business during the 50s, but moved to the chic “103 Faubourg St Honoré” in 1966.

This jacket is beautifully tailored in a classic design.  It has medium width notched lapels. two button closure, two button cuffs, jetted pockets at either side and a pocket at the chest.  The jacket is fully lined in a woven red acetate fabric.  The jacket is made in a high quality striped wool fabric in tones of blue, red, grey, green and black.

Sizing: This is custom tailored, so there is no size label, but it should fit a medium size, US size 40.  Please note the following measurements, taking the tailored cut of this jacket into account:

Shoulders: 19” across from shoulder/sleeve seam to shoulder/sleeve seam

Sleeves: 26” from the shoulder/sleeve seam

Sleeve inseam: 17 3/4”

Chest:  44” around, taken under the arms

Waist:  41” around

Overall length:  31 1/2”, measured flat

Condition:  It is in very good condition with no wear, tear, staining or odour - this jacket looks to have seen very little use and has been well cared for over the years.

This is a beautiful example of Parisian tailoring, really a disappearing art, especially practiced at this level - this is a jacket to be collected and treasured!
