This is a play program personally autographed by famed actor Sir Laurence Olivier, dating to 1950. The program is for the play Venus Observed by Christopher Fry that was directed by Sir Laurence Olivier, who also starred in the play. The play was performed at the St James's Theatre in London - the St James's Theatre was built in 1835 and demolished in 1957. The program states First Performance Wednesday, 18th January, 1950. The program measures 8 1/8 by 5 closed and consists of 6 pages - a four page fold plus a centre insert. It is in excellent condition and the signature is strong and unfaded in blue ink (see close-up photo). Excellent Olivier autograph on a playbill that that features Sir Laurence!
