Vintage Indonesian Wicker Basket with Carved Komodo Dragon

This is a vintage Indonesian wicker basket with a hand-carved wooden lid featuring a stylized lizard, likely representing a Komodo dragon or monitor lizard - the Komodo Dragon is native to Indonesia.  The lid is crafted from dark-stained wood, carved in relief, while the basket itself is made of tightly woven natural wicker with a wooden base stitched in place with rattan strips.

The basket is oval in shape and works well for storing small items, while also serving as a decorative piece.
