Vintage Aquascutum of London Overcoat Pure Lambswool England 40R

This is a quality men’s vintage Aquascutum of London overcoat, made in England. It is made of pure lambswool in a warm camel colour and fully lined in viscose satin bearing the Aquascutum logo. The coat features a classic concealed button front, point collar, belted waist, and raglan sleeves for a smooth shoulder line. The back has a single 23” button-down kick vent for ease of movement although the coat is cut very full, as per 1980s style, with a flare down its length to its hem, so that, when belted the coat forms drapes.

The label includes the Royal Warrant “By Appointment to H.M. Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother”, indicating production during the late 1980s to early 1990s.

Marked size: 40 Regular, but please rely on the following measurements for fit, keeping in mind the 80s oversized cut of the coat, which would actually accommodate a size large:

Shoulders: 20” across, estimated due to the raglan sleeve

Shoulder to sleeve hem: 26” from the estimated shoulder

Chest (underarms): 58”

Waist: 60”

Bottom:  75”

Length (from back neck seam): 50 1/2”

Condition: In very good condition with no pronounced wear - just two surface “trails” to the upper left back (see last close-up photo with dime for scale), not very noticeable unless closed inspected.  Clean, with all original buttons and belt intact.
