Vintage 1950s Tuxedo Mens Formal Wear Black Wool Size M 38

This is a wonderful vintage 1950s tuxedo.  This vintage 1950s tuxedo is made in a wool fabric with padded shoulders, satin shawl lapels, jetted side pockets, chest pocket, single link button closure and with three buttons at either cuff.  There is a silk satin stripe down either leg of the pants.  It is fully lined in black satin viscose.  The pants to this tuxedo have a pleated front, metal zipper fly, a pocket built into either side and two back pockets.

Union label:  ACWA (Amalgamated Clothing Workers of America) used between 1949 and 1962

Sizing: There is no size tag, and although this vintage 1950s tuxedo should fit a medium size (US size 38), please rely on the following measurements for fit:

Jacket:

Shoulders: 17” across shoulder seam-to-seam 

Sleeves: 24 1/2” from shoulder seam (extra 2” inside cuff)

Sleeve Inseam: 18”

Chest: 42” around (jacket measurement is always 3”-4” larger than chest)

Waist: 38”

Overall length: 31“

Pants:

Waist: 31”-32”

Leg Inseam: 27” long - there is 1 3/4” of fabric inside the hem

Overall length: 32 1/2“

Condition: This vintage 1950s tuxedo is in very good condition with no pronounced wear, tear, stains or odours. It looks like it saw very little use.
