Vintage 1950s Necktie by Diva Milan Mens Woven Silk Tie Made in Italy

This is a vintage 1950s silk necktie made in Italy by Diva of Milan.  Diva was founded in 1925 by brothers Felice and Gustavo Gattinoni - I found an ad dating to 1948 online, but otherwise, can find no other information on this firm.  The tie is woven with diagonal striping and “dots” in black against a cream white background.  It measures 55” in length and has a width of 2 1/2” at its widest.  The label reads “Cravatta Di Lusso Diva Trademark Milano Made in Italy” - the content label reads “Pure Silk Made in Italy”.  The tie loop has the retailer’s name on it “A.H. Marks & Son Montreal”.  A.H. Marks appears to have started business in 1945.  The tie is in very good condition with the exception of one light thread pull at the front end, really difficult to notice.  In addition, there is a pressing "indent" at the bottom front, but this is easily corrected with a proper pressing.  Finally, the tie loop is detached on one side and the tie would benefit from a pressing - otherwise, clean and ready to wear.  Beautiful quality silk - this is a very classy tie!
