Vintage 1950s Holmegaard Art Glass Vase by Per Lütken, Denmark, 1955
This mid-century Danish vintage 1950s Holmegaard art glass vase was designed by Per Lütken for Holmegaard. The vase is hand-blown in thick-walled glass with an asymmetrical, organic bulbous form characteristic of Lütken’s work during the 1950s.
The glass is a smoky green-grey tone with s a high polish. The opening is gently pinched and uneven by design, giving the piece a sculptural quality. The substantial weight and heavy casing are typical of Holmegaard’s high-quality studio production of this period.
The underside is engraved “Holmegaard 1955” along with Per Lütken’s monogram, confirming both the maker and date.
