Vintage 1940s 50s Overcoat Chesterfield Style Wool Bouclé Sz 42

$325.00

This is a vintage 1940s 50s overcoat in the Chesterfield style, tailored from Carr’s “Celestia” luxury English coating and sold by Marks, an upscale Montréal haberdashery formerly located at 957 St James St. The coat dates to the mid-20th century (late 1940s / early 1950s) and features the signature elements of a classic gentleman’s Chesterfield: a contrast velvet collar, clean tailored lines, and a long formal silhouette.

The exterior is made of a textured bouclé / astrakhan-style wool—a premium coating fabric (see close-up of fabric). The coat is finished with padded shoulders, a three-button front, and a 14” single vent. It is fully lined in black satin.

Colour:  Black velvet collar - body of coat might be a very dark charcoal grey compared to the collar. but I would call it black
