Mid Century Bar Tool Set w Stand Glo-Hill Barmates Red Bakelite & Chrome
This is a wonderful mid century bar tool set made by Glo-Hill of Montreal, Canada. Founded in 1946 by Leo Globus and Harry Hill, Glo-Hill became well known in the 1950s and 60s for their high-quality chrome serving pieces and richly coloured phenolic (Bakelite-style) handles. The company continued producing household and barware items until the 1970s.
This mid century bar tool set features deep cranberry red two-tone Bakelite handles paired with bright chrome-plated steel. It includes six original bar tools hanging from the matching stand:
Bottle/can opener
Ice tongs
Long bar spoon
Double jigger / shot measure
Hawthorne-style strainer
Fork / garnish pick
The set measures 12” high to the top of the stand handle.
Condition is excellent, showing minimal or no use. The chrome retains a bright shine, and the red handles have their classic mid-century glow.
A beautiful example of Canadian mid-century design — perfect for display on a bar cart or for practical cocktail mixing.
