Chanel Boutique Collection Croisière 1998 Lookbook Karl Lagerfeld Photography

Original Chanel Boutique Collection Croisière 1998 fashion lookbook, issued by Chanel in 1997 for the 1998 Cruise/Resort collection.

The large-format, square lookbook has dark green textured card covers with gold CHANEL lettering on the front and the interlocking CC logo on the back. It contains 40 perfect-bound pages plus cover, with fashion photography credited to Karl Lagerfeld.

The collection is presented primarily through full-page photographs printed with a deliberately muted, vintage-toned appearance. The images feature the Chanel Cruise 1998 fashions, including swimwear, dresses, separates and resort clothing. One page also reproduces a Chanel No. 5 advertisement.

The opening material is marked CHANEL BOUTIQUE, while the final page identifies the publication as “Collection Croisière 1998 – Chanel Boutique” and lists Chanel boutiques and retailers internationally. The copyright page is marked © CHANEL 1997, “Imprimé en France,” and states that the document was supplied for personal use and that reproduction was prohibited without Chanel's written permission - this re-sale however is legal due to the Doctrine of First Sale.

Condition: Excellent vintage condition. The interior is exceptionally clean and appears little handled. There is a light black mark on the front cover and a small brownish mark on the back cover; otherwise the book is very well preserved. There is a possibility that there had been a photo on the front cover, however, I see no evidence of one having been there. Please refer to the photographs.
