Art Deco 1930s Silk Tie Striped Jacquard R.H. Macy & Co

Art Deco 1930s Silk Tie Striped Jacquard R.H. Macy & Co

$110.00

This vintage 1930s silk tie from The Men’s Store, R.H. Macy & Co., New York features a striking Art Deco combination of triple diagonal red stripes woven over a circular tonal jacquard pattern. The geometric circular motifs and crisp Deco layout are characteristic of 1930s menswear design, offering a distinctive look from the pre-war era.

Made of pure silk, the tie has unlined ends and soft construction, typical of 1930s craftsmanship before the widespread introduction of stiff interlinings in the 1940s and 50s. Measuring 47" in length and 3 5/8" at its widest point, it reflects the proportions of late-1930s neckwear.

Material label: All Silk

Measurements:

Length: 47"

Width: 3 5/8" at widest

Condition:  In very good condition for its age - one small spot on the interior short end blade below the label, very minor.  Otherwise, nothing pronounced - this is a well preserved example of a 1930s silk tie

This is a hard to find 1930s silk tie from Macy’s — a superb collectible example of pre-war American menswear!
