This is an antique German porcelain half-doll with a matching pair of porcelain legs, dating to the 1920s and featuring a fashionable young woman in the distinctive flapper style of the Art Deco period.
The half-doll is fashioned in glazed porcelain and depicts a slender, elegantly dressed lady wearing a pale pink jacket with deep purple trim and a stylish cloche hat. Her appearance is characteristic of the Jazz Age, with its fashionable short hairstyles, close-fitting hats and relaxed silhouettes.
Her face is expressive, with heavily outlined, slightly sideways-glancing eyes, softly rouged cheeks, a long, slender neck and small red lips.
The cloche hat has a rounded white crown, a broad purple brim and a coordinating purple hatband. Her loose-fitting pink jacket has long sleeves, contrasting purple lapels and cuffs, and an open front revealing the white porcelain beneath. Her hands are held together at the centre of her chest.
Accompanying the half-doll is a matching pair of porcelain legs with pointed high-heeled shoes finished in metallic gold. The legs are crossed in an elegant seated position.
The upper body and legs are separate porcelain components, connected by an old cord threaded through the original attachment holes. They would originally have been incorporated into a pincushion, creating a decorative seated doll.
The underside of the half-doll bears a hand-painted red number, 135, while the back of the base has a faint impressed numerical marking. The style and construction suggest German manufacture.

Condition: Very good condition. The porcelain components appear intact, with no chips, cracks or repairs. There is slight wear to the metallic gold decoration on the shoes, along with minor age-related surface wear. The old connecting cord remains present. Please examine the photographs carefully.
