1980s Déjà-Vu New Wave Asymmetrical Sport Coat Size 38
This is an unused vintage men's sport coat by Déjà-Vu Créations, made in Canada and dating to the mid-1980s. It retains its original Déjà-Vu sleeve tag and appears never to have been worn.
The jacket has a characteristic 1980s New Wave silhouette, with padded squared shoulders, a relatively broad upper body tapering toward the waist, and a shorter length. Its most distinctive feature is the asymmetrical double-breasted front, with overlapping angled panels and four black buttons positioned in an unconventional arrangement.
The fabric has a black and grey-white plaid pattern with irregular woven geometric detailing that gives it a textured appearance. The jacket has wide notched lapels, jetted hip pockets and a welt breast pocket. It is fully lined in black.
The original manufacturer's production label identifies the model as Diablo, size 38, with model number 6110 and cloth number 18503. The original Déjà-Vu Créations tag remains attached to the sleeve.
The fabric is a blend of 38% polyester, 32% viscose and 30% wool. The ACTWU/TAVT union label identifies the jacket as made in Canada.
