1970s 80s Vintage Italian Leather Shoulder Bag / Clutch Creed’s

This is an elegant vintage Italian leather shoulder bag made for upscale Canadian department store Creed’s, noted for luxury goods and fashion.  The purse is made in smooth black leather, trimmed with a deep oxblood faux croc-embossed (pressed) leather flap and matching tab. A gold-tone magnetized lock closes the front flap cleanly. The strap unhooks so the bag can be carried as a clutch.  The interior has zippered centre and side pockets.

Label:  Made in Italy for Creed’s.  Creed’s was established in 1961 and closed its doors in 1991.  They carried French couture house fashion (Dior, Chanel, Saint Laurent) as well as high end furs, luxury goods and private label items produced in Europe, like this purse.
