This is a vintage 1930s Walt Disney figurine, made in Japan under license. It depicts a pie-eyed Mickey Mouse riding Pluto, hand-painted in bright colours on bisque porcelain.
This 1930s Walt Disney figurine measures 3 inches long by 2 3/8 inches high and is marked © Walt Disney Japan on the side.
This figurine comes from an original boxed set of 18 mint examples, all still wrapped in their original protective paper when discovered. These were originally distributed as small premiums — for example, given by dentists to children — and very few survive today in unused condition like this one.
Material: Painted bisque (unglazed porcelain)
Condition: Excellent, original mint condition with original paint intact. This 1930s Walt Disney figurine was never handled or displayed until unwrapped from its original paper.
This is an early piece of Disneyana in outstanding condition, representing the very first wave of licensed Disney character merchandise!
