This is a vintage Ralph Lauren Purple Label tie made during the 1990s.  This vintage Ralph Lauren Purple Label tie is made in a striking bright Kelly green coloured silk with white and deep navy blue diagonal striping.  As stated on one of the labels, the tie was made by hand.  The silk is woven in a faille finish (fine grosgrain) and the tie is quite substantial, definitely heavier than your average tie.  This vintage Ralph Lauren Purple Label tie is in very good condition with no pronounced wear or staining - the centre seam is slight raised on the front, but probably a professional pressing would eliminate this.  The Ralph Lauren label states “Made in Italy” and the content label reads “100% Silk”.  This tie measures  61” in length and has a width of 3 1/2” at its widest.  This is a great vintage Ralph Lauren Purple Label tie for St Patrick’s Day, or any time that you want to make a statement!
