This is a wonderful summer straw Stetson hat made in a mens fedora style by Stetson of Canada during the 60s.  Canadian Stetson hat quality was equivalent to American quality.  My understanding is that Stetson stopped producing hats in Canada in 1970 and its assets were bought by Biltmore Hats of Canada.

This Stetson hat is is sized as a 7 1/4 - it measures 22 1/2” around the sweat band and 6 3/4” by 8” across the opening. .  The crown has a blue and red grosgrain band around its base and the word “Stetson” is affixed to the ribbon on the side of the crown.  The brim measures 2 1/4” in width at the front and the crown measures 4 1/2” in height to the raised middle reverse crease.  The hat is in very good condition - one tiny straw chip to the underside brim, really nothing.  Nice older Stetson hat in an attractive style!
