Vintage 1970s 2 Piece Ensemble Blouse & Skirt Set Size L Strauss Modell Germany

This is a vintage 1970s two piece set consisting of a blouse and skirt.  It is printed with a quite ornate floral pattern in pinks and greens with a silver sparkle throughout.  The blouse has a long pointy collar, open neck, full sleeves with a four button cuff and a five button front closure - the buttons are textured silver toned plastic.  I’ve posed the blouse both out of and tucked into the skirt.  The skirt is made in a full length and more with a flare to the hemline so that it falls in drapes.  The blouse is unlined while the skirt is fully lined. 

Label:  Strauss Modell

Content label:  93% acetate / 7% lurex

Sizing: The size label reads 42, but this is a vintage German sizing.  I think that this should fit a large size, please note the following measurements for fit, taking the style of the set into account:

Blouse:  Has a bit of stretch to it

Shoulders:  17” across seam-to-seam

Sleeves:  27” long, from the shoulder seam

Sleeve inseam:  19” 

Bust: 42” around, taken under the arms

Waist: 38” around

Length:  24”

Skirt: as the skirt is fully lined there is no stretch due to the lining

Waist:  30- 31” around

Hips:  42” around

Overall length: 41“, measured flat

Condition:  It is in very good condition, looks like it saw little, if any, use - very clean with no wear.

This is a fun vintage outfit - rather flashy with the silver lurex, great vintage look!
