1950s 60s Vintage Mens Overcoat Wool Coat Size L

This is a late 50s or early 1960s vintage mens overcoat featuring a quality wool.  The wool is woven in a heavier weight with a fine checked pattern in tones of green and black.  This vintage mens overcoat is made with high set, narrow width notched lapels, raglan style sleeves with button down short belts at the cuffs and has a three button closure. There is a diagonal pocket built into either side and a 15” kick vent at the back. This vintage mens overcoat is lined with satin fabric across the upper back and down the front interior. Due to the weight of the wool, this vintage mens overcoat should provide good warmth.

Label: Bond Tailored-to-Measure Stores Across Canada.  The Bond Clothes retail store chain was founded in Cleveland in 1914.  The original store grew into a chain of  150 stores by the 1960s and had manufacturing facilities employing 2500 people during the 1930s.  Its executive offices and flagship store were located on Fifth Avenue in New York City.

Sizing: This vintage mens overcoat has no size indicated, and although this should fit a size large (US size 44, maybe 46), please rely on the following measurements for fit, taken from the exterior:

Shoulders: 19” across, estimated due to the raglan sleeves

Sleeves: 25” from the estimated shoulder

Sleeve Inseam: 16 1/2” long

Chest: 50” around, taken under the arms - 25” across pit-to-pit

Waist: 49” around

Overall length: 43“ measured at the back from neck seam to hemline

Condition: This vintage mens overcoat is in very good condition with no pronounced wear, tear, stains or odours. It looks like it saw little use and was well kept over the years.
