This is a gorgeous evening gown dating to the 1930s, made of a quality green silk fabric woven with metallic gold thread in a repeating “starburst” or floral motif.  The dress is gathered down the center of the bodice and has a double narrow shoulder strap at either side.  It has a defined waist and the skirt is cut on the bias, giving the skirt beautiful flare and fall.  The bodice is lined in silk while the skirt is unlined.  The dress does up at the side with a series of hooks and eyes.

Sizing:

This should fit a medium to large size, but please rely on the following measurements for fit, noting the style of the dress:

Bust:  38” around, but should fall loosely

Waist:  36” around

Hips:  Full (44”), but meant to fall loosely

Length:  58”, measured flat, from the top of the shoulder strap to the hemline

Condition:

This is in very good condition with no pronounced wear, tear, staining or odour - there are a few brown spots, more visible on the interior rather than the exterior of the skirt, near the bottom.  Otherwise, this dress looks to have seen little use and was well cared for over the years.

This is a gorgeous evening dress - fabulous quality gold lamé fabric, sure to make an impression under the lights.....
