Vintage 70s Pinstripe Suit Custom Tailored Size M

This is a 1970s men’s pinstripe suit that is custom tailored.  The jacket to this pinstripe suit is made with padded shoulders, notched lapels, a two button front, three button cuffs and has a 14” centre vent at the bottom back.  There is a chest pocket and a slanted flapped pocket at either side.  It is fully lined in a black acetate.  The pants to this pinstripe suit have a flat panel front, a wide band waist and a fairly straight leg.

Label:  Guinta et Beauchamps.  Guinta et Beauchamps is a Montreal tailor founded in 1962.

Fabric:  Most likely a wool worsted.  The striping is in light blue in a broken line with solid lines on either side of it, alternating with a broken line in a maroon tone, against a black background.

Sizing: No size is indicated as it is custom tailored, but I think that it is about a size 40 - please rely on the following measurements:

Jacket:

Shoulders: 18” across from shoulder/sleeve seam to shoulder/sleeve seam

Sleeves: 24” from the shoulder/sleeve seam

Sleeve inseam: 15 1/2”

Chest:  42” around, taken under the arms

Waist:  40” around

Overall length:  31”, measured flat

Pants:

Waist:  38”

Hips:  43”

Leg inseam:  29”

Length:  39”

Condition: This pinstripe suit is in very good condition with no stains, odors, pronounced wear or tears - this suit looks to have seen little use and has been well cared for over the years.
