This is a wonderful 40s era satin nightie. The nightie has lace trim both above and below the gathered bodice as well as lace trimming the bottom of the nightie, that lace shaped in scalloped form. It has three shoulder straps at the either side, each centre strap decorated with a satin floral appliqué (see last close-up photo). The back of nightie has a train (longer in the back than the front) and falls beautifully in drapes (see photo of back). It has no closures and simply slips over the head.

Colour: Pink. The colour may be a little more yellowish in the photos than in real life, this is a true pink tone.

Fabric: Satin, I believe silk satin

Sizing: There is no size tag, and although this should fit a medium size, please note the following measurements for fit:

Bust: 38” around

Waist: 32”, taken around the inset lace

Hips: 42”, but should fall loosely

Length: 56”, measured flat at the front and 62” measured flat at the back

Condition: It is in very good condition - it looks like it very little, if any, use and was well stored over the years.
