1980s Vintage Blouse by Ungaro Parallele - Flower Patterned Silk

$65.00

Brand Poppy's Vintage Clothing

This is a vintage 80s floral print blouse designed by Emanuel Ungaro of Paris. Ungaro became chief designer for Balenciaga in 1960, left for Courreges in 1964 and established his own fashion house on the rue Mac Mahon in 1965.  The Parallele label was Ungaro’s pret-a-porter line, introduced in 1968.

This blouse is made in a simple, collarless style with short sleeves and padded shoulders.  It has a diagonally slanted pocket applied to the right chest.  The neckline closes with five black glass buttons.  Please note that the belt is not included and used for posing purposes only.

Age: 1980s

Label: Emanuel Ungaro Parallele Paris

Color: Multicolored

Material:  The content label is no longer present, but I believe that it is silk or a silk blend

Sizing: Size 8 is indicated, so this should fit a medium size - please note the following measurements for fit, taking the style of the blouse into account:

Shoulders:  17” from shoulder/sleeve seam to shoulder/sleeve seam

Bust: 43” around, taken under the arms

Waist:  40” around

Length:  23”

Condition:

It is in very good condition with no wear, tear, stains or odors.   The only defect is that two of the buttons have been changed - the original buttons are faceted glass while the replacements are not faceted.  This is not that noticeable and, otherwise, this blouse looks like it saw little use and was very well cared for over the years

This blouse features a strikingly colorful floral print - very pretty!
