Vintage 60s Mens Striped Suit Custom Tailored Blue Wool Sz M

This is a wonderful custom tailored mens striped suit made in a quality wool fabric.  The fabric of this mens striped suit is woven in blue and grey stripes with red thread running through the blue stripes.  The jacket has high set medium width notched lapels and a three button closure.  The shoulders of the jacket are slightly padded and there is a flapped pocket at either side, and a pocket at the left chest.  The jacket has a 7” centre vent at the back and is lined with a striped blue satin fabric.  It has two interior pockets.  The pants to this mens striped suit have a pleated front and a slightly tapered leg with no turned cuff at the bottom.  

Age: This mens striped suit dates to the mid-1960s

Label: R. Dagenais Tailleur 1172 Place Philippe Montreal.  Roland Dagenais established his business in 1938 and moved to the Place Philippe location in 1953, right in the centre of the city of Montreal.  The business still exists today, run by Roland Jr.

Sizing: No size is indicated on this mens striped suit as this is custom tailored, although this should fit a medium size, about a size 38, maybe 40 - please rely on the following measurements for fit, taken from the exterior (please take the thickness of the fabric and the cut of the suit into consideration):

Shoulders: 19” across shoulder seam-to-seam 

Sleeves: 25” from shoulder seam

Sleeve Inseam: 17” long

Chest: 42” around, taken under the arms

Waist: 40”

Overall length: 29 1/2“, measured flat

Pants:

Length:  40” - there is 2 1/4” of extra fabric inside the cuff should you require more length

Leg Inseam:  30 1/2”

Condition:  This mens striped suit is in very clean condition with no wear, tear, stains or odours.  This suit looks like it saw very little use and was very well kept over the years.
