Yves Saint Laurent Two Piece Ensemble Blouse & Skirt Black Silk Size M

This is an excellent quality Yves Saint Laurent two piece ensemble consisting of a blouse and skirt. The two pieces are made of black silk in a look that I would call “peasant chic”. The ensemble was made in France under the “Rive Gauche” label. Saint Laurent introduced the peasant look in 1976, but has created pieces on that theme over the years. The blouse is made in an off the shoulder style with full cut sleeves that are gathered at the cuff with ruching. There are bands of ruching across the top and bottom of the blouse. The skirt is long and accented with irregular bands of ruching that give the skirt shape. There is a flounce at the bottom of the skirt.
