1940s 50s Vintage Wool Smoking Jacket Mens Size M

This is a fabulous vintage wool smoking jacket dating to either the 1940s or 50s.  This vintage wool smoking jacket has a shawl collar, turned cuffs and a patch pocket at either side.  It is made of a maroon and black woven wool fabric and trimmed with a grey and red plaid pattern and edged in red and black roped rickrack.  It has a two button closure and the interior is the same plaid pattern as found on the lapels, cuffs and pockets.

Sizing: No size is indicated, and although this vintage wool smoking jacket should fit a man that fits a US size 38, please rely on the following measurements for fit:

Shoulders: 17 3/4” across seam-to-seam

Sleeves: 25 1/2” long

Sleeve Inseam: 19 1/2”

Chest: 42” around

Waist: 38”

Overall length: 29”, measured flat

Condition: This vintage wool smoking jacket is in very good condition with the exception of about five small holes to the back of the jacket, most of them pinhead sized or smaller - I’ve shown a close-up of the largest hole (see last close-up photo).  Only two holes are visible under normal viewing and they’re not obvious - in order to see all of them, you have to view the fabric with a strong light behind it.  Otherwise, there is no other wear, tear, soiling, staining or odour - this vintage wool smoking jacket has been very well cared for over the last 70+ years.
