This is a fabulous vintage faux fur coat designed by Mugge Kølpin and made in Denmark by Gunnar Knudsen of Aarhus.  Mugge Kølpin was a well-known Danish designer who established her design business in 1964 and was a design contemporary to, and friends with, another well-known Danish fashion designer, Margit Brandt.  The coat is made with a long haired acrylic pile fabric meant to replicate Mongolian lamb - it almost looks Sasquatch-like, but is quite amazing.  The coat is made with an attached hood.  It closes with four wood pegs and rope loops.  The coat is lined in multi-coloured paisley printed goldenrod coloured cotton fabric. I would date it to the early 1970s.

Label: Mugge Kølpin Design Produced by Gunnar Knudsen Aarhus Denmark.  The neck label reads “Made in Denmark”.

Sizing: No size is indicated, and although this should fit a small size, please rely on the following measurements for fit, taking the thickness of fabric into account:

This is an exceptional faux fur coat - excellent Danish quality and design!
