This is a wonderful acrylic/wool/ramie blend knit sweater top made by Courreges during the 1970s.  The sweater has a square shaped collar with a high set neckline.  The word “Courreges” is embroidered horizontally underneath the neckline at the left side in white cotton.  The fabric is knit in a vertical ribbed pattern with “nubs” throughout.  It has long sleeves.  It comes with its original Courreges plastic storage bag.

Label:  Courreges Paris Made in France - the model number is 129881.  Andre Courreges is a legendary Parisian fashion designer, known for his avant garde “space age” design during the 1960s, and his innovative, “fresh” looking designs through the 70s.

Color:  Cream White

Material: 48% Acetate / 26% Wool / 26% Ramie with 100% Cotton trim (embroidered word “Courreges”).  Ramie is a fibre derived from an Asian plant, known for its strength, and its ability to reduce winkling, hold shape and bestow a silky lustre to fabric.

Sizing: Size 0 is indicated, which is the Courreges size code for a US size 4/6 - please note the following measurements for fit (your body measurements should be smaller, or measure a similar garment that you own):

Shoulders:  15” across unstretched

Sleeves:  23 1/2” long

Sleeve inseam:  17”

Bust:  34” around, unstretched, could stretch out to 40”

Bottom:  24” around, unstretched, could stretch out to 35”

Length:  22” long, measured flat

Condition:  It is in very good condition with no wear, tear, stains or odors. This sweater looks like it saw little use, and was very well cared for over the years.
