This is a vintage Ralph Lauren hacking jacket made in Italy.  This Ralph Lauren hacking jacket is made in the Alastair style in a tan coloured herringbone tweed wool.  The jacket has notched lapels with a buttonholed tab at the right that can button up to the button under the collar at the left, a three plastic button closure, a flapped slant pocket at either side plus a second flapped pocket at the right side, a breast pocket and four button cuffs.  It is cut to accentuate the body silhouette.  The bottom back has a 9” vent and there is a suede leather patch at either elbow.  The Ralph Lauren hacking jacket is lined in beige coloured rayon fabric.

Label: Ralph Lauren blue label.  The blue label is third in the Ralph Lauren hierarchy, however, items made in Italy are at the high range of the blue label.  There is a purple label version of this Ralph Lauren hacking jacket that looks almost identical except that the collar tab is on the left side.

Content label:  I believe that this Ralph Lauren hacking jacket was imported into Korea as the labels appear to be Korean.  The purple inspection stamp is difficult to read, but appears to be “2000 11 21”, so the jacket is considered to be vintage as it is over 20 years old.

Sizing: Size 10 is indicated, but please rely on the following measurements for fit taking the thickness of the fabric and the style of the jacket into account:

Shoulders:  16” across from seam-to-seam

Sleeves: 24 1/2” from the seam

Sleeve Inseam:  18”

Bust: 37”

Waist: 32”

Hips:  38”

Length: 28”

Condition:  This Ralph Lauren hacking jacket is in very good condition, with no visible wear, tear or odor - there is a bit of slight soiling to the edges of the suede patch, but this should come out.  I haven’t had the jacket cleaned.

This is a wonderful vintage Ralph Lauren hacking jacket - nice quality in nice condition!
