This is a bowl-like art pottery plate that is signed by Sandra Magsamen, American artist, author and designer, known for her inspirational messages. The piece features sgraffito technique depiction of an elongated face surrounded by flowers. The underside rim is incised with the message Surround Yourself With Beauty and Lovely Things Will Grow. The plate measures 10 1/2 in diameter measured straight across the top and has a height of 2 at its edge. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or wear. This does not appear to be a common model, at least I couldnt find another like it online. This plate would make an attractive wall display or cabinet display piece - an uncommon example of Sandra Magsamen signed art!
