This is a 1970s ladies ski sweater issued to commemorate the International Ski Federation World Alpine Championships held in the Swiss Alps at St. Moritz, Switzerland in 1974.  It is made of navy blue 100% pure virgin wool with red, green, black, yellow and blue stripes down either side.  A crest is affixed to the pocket on the left front that reads “St. Moritz 74” with the event logo, and a patch that reads “Romulus” appears at the bottom of the stripes on the right front.  Romulus is a brand name of the Swiss manufacturer Robert Muller & Co. of Zurich, Switzerland.  The sweater has a round neckline, long sleeves and closes with a blue metal zipper up the front.

Sizing: There is a tag that reads 152 but I’m unsure if this is size tag, and although this should fit a small to medium size, please note the following measurements for fit, taking the stretch of the knit into account:

Shoulders: 14” unstretched across the shoulders from one shoulder/sleeve seam to the other, but can stretch out to as much as 18”

Sleeves:  19 1/2” long from the shoulder/sleeve seam

Sleeve inseam: 14”

Bust:  32” around unstretched but can stretch out to 39”, shouldn’t fit too tightly

Bottom:  27” unstretched, but can stretch out to 36”

Length:  22”, measured flat down the front

Condition: It is in very good condition - looks like it saw little use and was stored well over the last 45 or so years.

Very nice quality - wonderful vintage ski sweater, great look!
