This is a beautiful quality 100% pure cashmere pullover turtleneck sweater made in Scotland by Ballantyne for Holt Renfrew of Canada.  It dates to the 1970s.  It is made in a red, white and grey argyle pattern on the front against the solid grey background colour.  It has long sleeves and a longer body silhouette.  It does up at the upper back with a nylon zipper. It is unlined and the collar, cuffs and bottom are ribbed.  The cashmere is in a heavier weight, thick yet light and ultra soft.

Label: Made in Scotland for Holt Renfrew in Canada Ballantyne of Peebles.  There is a second label that reads “100% Pure Cashmere Made in Scotland” as well as a third content label.
