Vintage Smoking Jacket Men 1950s Asian Short Satin Robe Sz M

This is a wonderful vintage smoking jacket or short lounging robe featuring an Asian motif patterned black satin rayon fabric. The smoking jacket has a shawl collar, turned cuffs and has a black sash belt.  All trim is in solid black satin.  It has a breast pocket and pocket at either side.

Age: 1950s, maybe early 60s

Sizing: Size M for medium is indicated on the label of this smoking jacket - please rely on the following measurements for fit:

Shoulders: 18” across

Sleeves: 24 1/2” long from shoulder seam

Sleeve Inseam: 17 1/2” long

Chest: 43” around, approximate, depending on overlap

Waist: 41”, meant to be cinched

Overall length: 33“

Condition:  This smoking jacket is in very clean condition with no pronounced wear, tear, staining or odour however there is an area, mostly under the lapel, but also a little near the lapel, that has a fabric defect original to the manufacture of the piece.  I've shown it in the last two close-up photos where a bit of gold toned weave is showing through, almost as if there's wear.  Quite minor as very little of it is visible when the lapel is in place and it is original to the manufacturing.

This is a fabulous vintage smoking jacket – attractive pattern and in great shape!
