This is a excellent quality custom tailored vintage Finnish men’s tuxedo tails / formal tailcoat dating to the 1940s.  The only label is the neck loop itself, which reads “A Lamppu Kakisalmi, Puh. 253” - Lamppu is the tailor and Puh is an abbreviation for telephone.  Kakisalmi has an interesting history, having belonged to Sweden, Finland and Russia over history and was known either as Korela by Russians, Kexholm by the Swedes and Kakisalmi by the Finns.  It was considered part of Finland from1812 until 1940, part of the Soviet Union during 1940-41 and part of Finland again from 1941 until 1944.  In 1944, as part of the peace treaty with the Soviet Union, Finland again ceded the city to the Soviet Union, which renamed it Priozersk.  Judging by the style of the tuxedo tails and the label, I think that this was made during WWII.  The tuxedo tails are made in classic form with padded squared shoulders, no closure, cut away front with six buttons, two buttons at the back and three buttons at either cuff.  The lapels are wide and peaked and finished in black silk satin.  It is fully lined in black satin.  Note that there are no pants included, only the tailcoat.

Sizing: These tuxedo tails are custom tailored, so there is no size indicated, and although this should fit a small (size 36) to maybe a medium size, please rely on the following measurements for fit, taken from the exterior (please take the thickness of the fabric into consideration):

Sleeves: 26” from shoulder seam

Sleeve Inseam: 19” long

Waist: 36” around with a normal gap
