This is a designer jumpsuit by Wanda Nylon Paris, dating to the Spring/Summer 2016 collection, featuring an interpretation of the classic trench coat in the form of a tailored, full-length one-piece garment.
Wanda Nylon was established in Paris by French-Polish stylist Johanna Senyk and German designer Peter Hornstein. The 2016 collection was designed by Senyk. The label became known for its innovative approach to outerwear, incorporating technical fabrics, functional details and contemporary interpretations of traditional rainwear.
The jumpsuit is made from a smooth, tightly woven, beige-taupe fabric with a subtle sheen, resembling a fine cotton-blend gabardine. The material has a substantial yet supple quality, allowing it to retain its tailored structure while draping naturally through the sleeves and trouser legs. There is no fibre-content label available to confirm the precise composition.
The upper portion is styled as a classic double-breasted trench coat, with a large pointed collar, two rows of dark tortoiseshell-pattern buttons and buttoned shoulder epaulettes. A traditional storm flap extends across the upper back, with a central inverted pleat beneath it.
The long sleeves are generously cut and finished with adjustable buckled straps at the cuffs. Matching tortoiseshell-pattern buckles are used on the detachable self-fabric waist belt, which passes through belt loops and cinches the otherwise relatively straight silhouette.
Below the waist, the garment continues into full-length trousers with a relaxed, gently tapered cut. The double-breasted upper closure extends into an asymmetrical buttoned front opening below the belt. Side pockets are incorporated into the trouser portion.
The combination of traditional trench-coat detailing with the practical construction of a jumpsuit gives the garment a distinctive utilitarian character, reflecting Wanda Nylon's approach to contemporary outerwear design.
