Vintage Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche Paris Wool Skirt Purple w Yellow Check XS

This is a 1970s era wool skirt made by the renowned Parisian fashion house of Yves St. Laurent.  The skirt is woven in a light yellow, almost ochre, check pattern on a dark blue background.  It is made with wide pleats front and back and does up the side with a metal zipper.  The skirt is fully lined in purple rayon.

Label: Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche Paris Made in France.  In addition, there is a Tyvek label indicating the model number, and the content of 100% wool.  There is also 200F written on the label, which I believe was the wholesale price in French francs, the currency at the time in France - this came from a lot of vintage French designer clothing that I acquired and I believe that this may have been a sample.

Sizing: Size 38 is indicated, but this is a vintage French sizing - it should fit an extra small size, but please rely on the following measurements for fit:

Waist:  24”

Hips:  35”-36”

Length:  28”

Condition: It is in excellent condition - very clean and looks like it saw little, if any, use.  As mentioned, I believe that this is a sample, so probably was not used, and special attention was taken in its manufacture.

This is a wonderful skirt by one of the greatest Parisian fashion designers……striking color, great for winter wear!
