Vintage Yves Saint Laurent Paris Wool Kilt Style Wrap Skirt Black w Check Size S

This is a 1970s era wool skirt made in a kilt style by the renowned Parisian fashion house of Yves St. Laurent.  The skirt is woven in a white and light blue check on a dark blue background.  It is made in a wraparound style that closes at the right side, plain at the front and pleated at the sides and back.

Label: Yves Saint Laurent Tricot Paris Made in France.  In addition, there is a Tyvek label with the model number, the content of 100% wool, and “Made in France”.  There is also 480 written on the label, which I believe was the wholesale price in French francs, the currency at the time in France - this came from a lot of vintage French designer clothing that I acquired and I believe that this may have been a sample.

Sizing: Size 42 is indicated, but this is a vintage French sizing - it should fit a small size, but please rely on the following measurements for fit:

Waist:  26”-27”

Hips:  36”

Length:  28”

Condition: It is in excellent condition - very clean and looks like it saw little, if any, use.  As mentioned, I believe that this is a sample, so probably was not used, and special attention was taken in its manufacture.

This is a quality skirt in a very attractive style by one of the greatest Parisian fashion designers……great for winter wear!
