This is a vintage mens 100% cashmere overcoat using fabric made by Italian luxury house Loro Piana and sold at Saks 5th Avenue.  Loro Piana was founded during the early 19th century and produces exceptional quality cashmere and wool.  This 100% cashmere overcoat is made in a tailored style, typical of the late 1990s / early 2000s.  It has slightly padded shoulders, higher set notched lapels, a three button closure, three button split cuffs, flapped pocket at either side, a pocket at the left chest and a 17 1/2’’ kick vent at the back.  This 100% cashmere overcoat is fully lined in a viscose satin.  The fabric is especially soft and has a beautiful finish - superb Italian quality.

Union label:  Union Made in the U.S.A. UNITE! Union of Needletrade Industrial & Textile Employees.  UNITE was formed in 1995 as a merger of the ACWA and ILGWU unions.  It changed its name in 2004 to UNITE HERE, when the Hotel Employees union was added.

Sizing: There is no size label, and although this 100% cashmere overcoat should fit a medium size (US size 40/42), please rely on the following measurements for fit, taking the tailored style of this coat into account as well as whether you might want to wear a suit jacket underneath:

Shoulders:  20 1/2” across shoulder/sleeve seams

Sleeves:  25 1/2” from the shoulder seam

Sleeve Inseam:  17 1/2”

Chest: 46” around 

Waist: 43” around

Hips:  46” around

Length: 48 1/2”, measured flat at the back from the neck seam

Condition:  This 100% cashmere overcoat is in very good condition with no pronounced wear, tear, stains or odour. - the lining at the left armpit needs a few stitches (see close-up photo).  The fabric has a beautiful finish to it - this 100% cashmere overcoat looks to have seen little use and was well stored and cared for over the years.

Excellent quality cashmere.....this 100% cashmere overcoat was originally a very expensive coat!
